Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again winged his way towards Vladivostok, Russia for an official meet on his two-day tour (4-5 September), as reported. This visit aims to strengthen the steady and friendly bilateral relations between the two countries.
On arrival in the provinces of Russia, PM Narendra Modi received a whole-hearted welcome by his generous friend and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
On his third bilateral visit to Russia, PM Modi participated in the fifth reunion of Eastern Economic Forum as the Chief Guest. Addressing the leaders and officials present in the session, PM Modi stated: ” The friendship between India and Russia is not restricted to governmental interactions in capital cities, but was about people and close business relations.” He also thanked the President of Russia for supporting India’s decision over Jammu and Kashmir.
Further, expressing his gratitude, PM Modi quoted, “For the development of Far East, India will give a line of credit worth $1 billion. My government has actively engaged in East Asia as part of its ‘Act East’ policy.”
”I firmly believe that today’s announcement will add a new dimension to the economic diplomacy of the two countries.” He added.
Prior to the session, PM Narendra Modi also managed to personally meet the various leaders at the forum. Also, Russian President and Indian Prime Minister have signed 25 agreements regarding the betterment of the two nations.
