Entire police station booked in Agra for brutally torturing a man, resulting in his death.

Agra: After a shocking incident, an entire police station was booked for murder in Agra. The report says that a 32-year-old man was brutally beaten and tortured in front of his 55-year-old mother. Later when the police dropped his mother home, she was informed about her son’s death at around 9 pm inside the Sikandra Police Station.

According to the reports of Times of India, Hemant Kumar was taken into police custody on Wednesday after his neighbour accused him of stealing jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh from his house. His mother Reena Kumar denied the allegations saying that her son was critically and mentally weak and he used to work as a helper in a chemist shop. The mother and son together lived in a rented house while her two daughters are settled in Delhi and Vrindavan.

Reena Kumar also told TOI that when his son was brutally beaten and tortured inside the lockup she was perpetually asking for mercy but the cops ignored her behaviour and continued their action. She left at 6 pm to her home and at 9 pm she got a call from the police station informing the death of her son.

Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Pathak told TOI that three cops and two sub-inspectors were suspended and an FIR has been lodged against the Sikandra police station for custodial death. In the post-mortem report issued on Friday, the cause of death is said to be a heart attack and few hand and shoulder injuries.

A case against the two neighbours has also been lodged as it is being revealed that before handing over Raju to the police, they assaulted him with lathis.

The Reportist States – It must have been a black day for a mother who saw such happenings in front of her eyes and no law or punishment can fend the mental trauma she will be into.
